Our training group is no longer the baby in Perú. Perú 13 has arrived. I had a chance to visit them on their second day in country. It was such a surreal experience to realize we are now the volunteers and no longer in training. They were asking us questions. As we met with the new group, I could easily remember being in their shoes and thinking I would never actually be a volunteer. But here I am—a volunteer. I also enjoyed training at the time, but looking back, I much prefer actually working in the field!
